Group A

1:42-2:53: Team Ecuador out of their depth against Spain and Russia.

2:53-7:39: Daniil Medvedev’s base level too good for PCB, despite playing below average. Andrey Rublev is beaten by Feli Lopez’s variety and serving but gets his revenge in the doubles.

Group B

7:39-9:52: Kazakhstan and Sweden qualify for the knockout stages against an underpowered Canadian team.

Group C

9:52-11:11: Team Great Britain win a solid tie against Team France, Cam Norrie saving set points against Arthur Rinderknech.

11:11-12:22: Discussion on Great Britain’s 2022 wild card.

12:22-15:19: Though Czech Republic didn’t qualify for the knockout stages, Jiri Lehecka and Tomas Machac make good accounts of themselves.

Group D

15:19-19:20: Borna Gojo: Team Croatia’s secret weapon.

19:20-21:20: Zsombor Piros proves to be another successful debutant, playing way above his ranking for Hungary.

21:20-22:03: Why Lukas Rosol wasn’t part of Team Czech Republic.

Group E

22:03-24:20: Disappointment for American fans vs Italy.

24:20-25:51: Nicolas Mejia puts up a good fight against Frances Tiafoe and Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah win for Columbia.

Group F

25:51-27:21: Novak Djokovic extends his record over Jan-Lennard Struff to 7-0.

27:21- 28:52: Serbia’s second man in the singles lets them down all week.

28:52-30:11: Novak v Novak and other important wins for Serbia over Austria.


Quarterfinals

30:11-33:34: Heartbreak for GB against Germany.

33:34-35:43: Gojo steps up and Cilic chokes, Croatia go through against Italy in a deciding doubles.

35:43-40:33: Mikhail Kukushkin and Miomir Kecmanovic play the match of the tournament, Djokovic bails Serbia out against Kazakhstan.

40:33-43:48: Russia prove too much for Sweden’s Ymer brothers.


Semifinals

43:48-46:24: Dusan Lajovic loses to Gojo in an unassailable loss for Serbia as the battle of the #1s goes the way of the Croats.

46:24-49:04: Rublev finally arrives whilst Medvedev dispatches Struff.


Final

49:04-52:03: Russia defeat Croatia to claim the 2021 Davis Cup title.
